‘Round Texas ghosts with cowboy hats do roam.
In Salem, Puritan spirits haunt halls.
In Florida, sandaled souls wade through foam.
In Maui, ghosts in swimsuits walk through walls.

Louisiana ghosts sport beads for sure.
Wisconsin haunts wear flannel and blue jeans.
Manhattan specters always wear couture.
In Georgia, slaves in rags are often seen.

Disheveled farmers’ ghosts could use some starch.
Old Western spirits still wear leather belts.
Through Delaware dead Redcoats often march,
but in Alaska ghostly coats are pelts.

If souls return to Earth, and that’s a fact,
I have to ask, “How do their clothes come back?”
