Monstrous

Hey, it's Nazukeru again. The intro is down below. Pretty much just come in whenever and however you want. It'd be easier if everyone 'overheard' the conversation or already knew about it or something like that. And yea, that's pretty much it.

Background/abilities: carries three daggers on belt - life (white fire), death (black fire), and eternal swords (normal but beautiful fire)-- the life sword carries the ability to bring the dead/dying back to life; the death sword is for any living creature; the eternal sword deals with time, space, and places, if the place has no 'time', this sword's power won't work. The eternal sword carries with it a prophecy. Whoever gives Nazukeru a true name will be in turn her murderer. When they gain the Eternal Sword from her, the girl's death will be imminent.
Appearance: short blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, one blue (represents life) and one red eye (represents death), light skin, smells like strawberries and blood (if you can smell it), jeans and a black t-shirt that says 'No, I don't like you'; a thin layer of armor, almost invisible is set under her clothes; height - 5'2"; weight - 98 lbs.
History: parents murdered; went to stay with other relatives; ran away
Random Facts: physically weaker than others but the swords amplify her strength; handles almost any weapon well; uses common sense to her advantage; stands by what she believes; pretty but doesn't spend her time fretting over what everyone else thinks; semi-booksmart; she's tiny, but don't underestimate her

Intro:
His breath on the back of her neck was cold as was the eyes that she felt drilling a hole through her skull. The darkness of the bar was only broken by a small torchlike lamp across the room. Men and women scattered around the two as if no notice was taken. "I'm not a toy to be used," her voice growled. The man only grinned and placed his hand over hers. A thin slip of paper lay between their skins. "What do I get paid?" she asked quietly but with a bite to her voice. There was no answer as he slipped his hand away, himself disappearing into the darkness.

The girl silently raised the note closer to her face and read the small print: 'I shall pay you when you finish your job. Kill the five wizards that guard King Mito's kingdom. Each will carry with it the power of one element -- fire, water, wind, earth, and light/darkness. I will not tolerate failure so choose carefully whether you take anyone with you or not. If you should so choose to decline my offer, the blood in your veins will run cold without hesitancy. I wish you luck.'

Rolling her eyes, she drew in a deep breath. "I wish you luck?" She said, wadding up the paper and shoving it into her pocket. "This is it, I guess. Another day...another assassination...and another lonely wanted poster to hang on the wall..."

Beginning:
Nazukeru heads out of the bar, giving the few who dare to look at her strangely, a deep glare. She exits the dark building and moves around behind it, picking up a black pack lying on the ground. She pulls the bag open and pulls out her three daggers, attaching each to its place on her belt. Then, hoisting it onto her back, Nazukeru heads off in the North, the direction of King Mito's castle. "Five wizards, five elements...they'll most likely be in the shape of a star," she mumbles to herself as she walks on.

Yay, another RP!! You know I'm in, I just hope it lasts longer than the others....

Me --> Reno
Age: 22
Background/abilities: Carries a short sword which he stole from the original owner's grave. The sword itself has limited reach, but gives the owner the ability to control fire, which makes for some effective ranged attacks.
Appearance: Short brown hair, Grey eyes. Average build, about 5'11''
History: Works as a Hired Sword like the rest of his family
Random Facts: Believes that loyalty is a naive concept, and money is the only thing that really matters in the world.

Reno steps out of the bar behind Nazukeru, intrigued by what he overheard. He still carries his glass of whiskey, much to the bartender's irritation.
H follows the girl, not caring whether she notices him or not.

Nazukeru stops and turns her head slowly to look at Reno. "Um...hi...I think. What do you need, buddy? If you're trying to pounce on me, I warn you, I bite. If it has to do with what was going on inside, welcome aboard if you can handle it. I could use the company." She grins happily, waiting quietly for an answer.

*walks in from nowhere*...you bite? you mean actually bite?.... :lol:

Nazukeru turns and looks at the newcomer. "Not in a literal sense..." She turns back to Reno, deciding his answer would show in a moment, and begins walking away. "If you're with us, cool. We've got a long fight ahead of us." Pulling out a her Eternal Dagger, she heads into the surrounding forest. "Be prepared."

Nazukeru grins as she walks away. "I see. You're that kind of guy. You'll get paid when we finish. To start..." she said, pausing. "Already? There's something here...and I don't think it's one of our friends."

Weapons: Military surplus. Specially made modified old style black powder buffalo rifle.
Occupation: free contractor.
History: classified. lets just say he has ALOT of contacts in the military and political powers of the world.
skills: Marksman, and combat specialist. Also espionage savy.(he doesn't talk about that lat part much)
Race: human - nanite enabled.

Ablilities: immune to infection and most common diseases. resistant to biological  weapons.
rendered invisible to some electronic non visual sensors, save scanners.

Build: 6, 4.  lean and muscular.

description: Now. wearing a black ops BDU. with a special plain looking left metal hand guard. currently equipped with. a modded 
Hi-cap. Berreta. with a scope. the kind they use in competitions.


Wearing a special ops mask. ((i'll show what he looks like later))

And an Military surplus ww2 style M1 rifle. also modded to copensate for the inacuracy of the weapon, the lack of ammo, and to compensate for all its annoying tendencies.
It also has a sniper scope.

yah, yah, yah....i'm with you on this naz.....i'm dying of boredom here anyway....

Nazukeru glares at the werewolf. "Oh, be quiet," she says before turning to give a smile to the new female. "It's nice to have another girl in these ranks...but the kid in the tree isn't what I was talking ab..." A sudden rock shooting past Nazu causes her to duck and activate her Eternal Sword. An misshapen, stone being, clutching a long scythe, comes lumbering out of the forest. "A golem..." she mumbles. Two more follow in suit, each holding another weapon, one a sword, the other a club. "The sorcerers know we're coming," she whispers. Then, changing expressions immediately, she yells, "I'm taking the one with the scythe!" Racing toward it, Nazukeru launches her sword at the golem, locking weapons quickly.

Jackal: So its a bunch of rock thingies... interesting.
* pulls out a camera and takes some pictures, and uploads them*

I'm sure the labs might find them intresting.

*i then go for the other one and tackles it down. as soon as i got ity, i body slammed it hard on the stone ground, smashing it to piesces*

I here by move to ignore vince's attempts at looking cool and his godmodding.

Yes dog boy, autohitting is a form of god modding.

no, it's not godmodding. it's different and no, i didn't autohit

God-moding is to be invincible in an RP. There are many ways to do this. If a fellow RPer is suspicious that you are god-moding explain yourself. DO NOT question the authority of the DM .if one decides that you are guilty of god-moding. Edit your post as the DM sees fit, you may or may not listen to a fellow player. They will, of course, explain why they believe that your are god-moding.

God-moding can be done by...

- Neglecting to put any weaknesses for your character. A weakness should be a tangible flaw that can be exploited in combat if found out.


- Dictating the reactions of another RPer to your attack so that he/she is always hit and always suffers the full effect of the attack.

- Completely ignoring the attacks of another RPer as if they never occured.

- Inventing new abilities on the fly to counter the existing abilities of your opponent.

- Using "finishers"  without suffering any ill effect.

I suppose while this maybe overlooked because its not a player, nazu may need to take charge over her own creations, and make sure you behave the proper way she expects you to fight a giant shadow  beast with super speed, strength and amazing intellect, or anything else she makes for that matter.

And since this is here thread, i belive i should let her handle this before i make an utter ass of myself and overstep my boundaries.


And IMO GOLEMS,GIANT OR OTHERWISE Medium size, are really really tough. and they can take down a tiny prissy wolfling if they surround him!

sure you have enhanced speed and/or strength, but its a big friggin rock! And it can move fast enough to actually hurt you!

If a rock hits your head, it hurts or bashes it in. if i golem  hits you with a war hammer, you fly to the other side of the room. Kapish?

I don't care if you are a friggin chinese immortal!(yes i watched the forbidden kingdom)). If you cannot provide enough leverage and grip, you will fly to the other side of the room.



And if you do get enough, you'd  get ripped in half.


And back to stength and speed. is it even night time? is it even a full moon? do you have a magic amulet that protects you from the berzerker rage that 's supposed to follow?

And if you decide to gain all the power w/o any trade offs , then you sir are godmodding.

Ahem. my character forgot to bring grenades..... so he'll be sitting this one out.

Nazukeru, watching the Golem's eyes flick to his comrade, uses that moment to reach up and grab its scythe. Pulling it down, she brings the creature's attention back to herself. It growls out a deep roar and reachs out, grabbing Nazu's arm. "Shoot!" she yells, trying to fling her sword at the golem. "Let me go!" She strikes the golem's arm, but it barely reacts.

The golem under Vince suddenly makes a thrust upward, pushing its hands into Vince's shoulders.

OC: Um...thanks, Raz. That pretty much takes care of godmodding though I would like to say something about autohitting. I don't mind if you make a mistake and do it on accident once in a while, but if it destroys a creature, severes body parts, kills someone, or does anything to that extent, the post will be ignored no matter what. Try to give me a chance to write a counter, but if for some ridiculous reason, I don't post in a day or two, go ahead, autohit, and keep moving. BUT THIS IS ONLY IN A RARE CASE!!! Please, don't use this as an excuse. I've got a life outside of this site, so I may get busy, but it shouldn't happen that often.

Vince, I'm letting this one slide, but I'm not having the monster destroyed. You only knocked it down. And you can't kill a golem with a bodyslam anyway nor should you kill any creature in one shot. That gives no one else the chance to fight along with you. You become the sole victor, and that's no fun...for anyone.

Check out this link and it'll kind of explain the golem better: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golem_%28Dungeons_%26_Dragons%29. It's the stone golem that I'm going by if you need to know. These creatures can't be 'smashed' as you did. They would have to be repeatedly shot, pounded, and/or something else to that extent.

And yes, as to rules, I hoped anyone deciding to join the RPG would, first of all, go by the generic rules of no godmodding and no autohitting. I don't really care about most things, but I'll try to say something if anything happens that's way out of line. I have a feeling that someone else will mention it  before I get to it though if I have to say anything. If you have any major questions, pm me or write it here with an oc: before it.

Voice from the radio: Loud and clear.

Voice: Ok, one truck n' a box w/ priest bait some large fries and mojos, lotsa ice, plus  refill headed your way. that'll be 104k U.S. it'll be waitin for ya in 20mins tops.

Reno turns to see the werewolf guy getting squished by the golem. He sighs, rolls his eyes and draws his sword, sending a jet of fire towards the golems face.
'Not sure how much that'll help, though,' he says, running towards the golem for a follow-up attack'

OC: Vince, Raz is talking about the insta-killing.  Just keep in mind that other people are playing in this RPG and everyone should get a chance to fight, maybe not in all battles but in most. That's all that matters right now. Strengths and weaknesses will come as they do. We'll worry about that when the time comes.

Nazukeru, unable to escape, yells, "Hikiwakeru!" Quietly, a black hole opens behind the golem attacking her and a gust of wind begins to drag it backwards. The golem turns its head slowly and makes a sudden thrust forward. The wind, dragging the creature backward, strengthens. The monster drops Nazukeru as its body begins to enter the hole. Nazu jumps up immediately and looks around at the others. "It'll only last seconds, but it'll become strong! Ground yourself." Racing over to a nearby tree, she locks her arms around a low branch. "Hurry!"

OC: I just thought I'd say I'm not going to destroy them all unless you want me to...but I'd rather leave at least one and a half...he he he...I've got something up my sleave.

*seeing the black hole, he kicks the golem towards it, takes out his sword and burries it deep in the ground while saying an incantation*...hold on people!!!

Nazukeru watches as the two golems try to keep themselves from being sucked into the vortex. "Just a couple more seconds..." The first one heads through, but the second grabs a nearby tree trunk. "Crap!" Nazukeru hisses as the black hole slowly begins to close. The third golem steps forward as if to save its ally, but stops short, choosing instead to stand back as the danger vanishes into nothing. "SHOOT!" Glancing over at Vince, she yells, "Whatever you're chanting, hurry up!"

As Jackal loped along the forest, a low russle sounded behind a tree as the group slowly surrounded their prey. The scent of their last kill, the bloody smell carried by the wind, drifted into the area.

* smelling the blood, or at least feeling the pressure in the air, jackal quickens his pace, hoping to get to the car before anything decides to eat him alive*

Jackal: Crap, this feeling. *draws his knife.*

Growling begins to stir behind him as Jackal moves. A sudden shadow appears beside him. And with little notice, a large, brown canine leaps out from the brush. It's mussel was covered in blood, and more dripped from its body. Its last battle had ended brutally. Aiming for his neck, the beast leaped as it ran.

Killed or not?

The dog hits the ground hard, facing away from Jackal. Rolling to its side, it lies there silently for a moment and then begins to stir. Slowly, the canine rises to its feet and turns around. Its nose is bleeding along with a deep wound to its side. A deep growl escapes its mouth. "Damn humans..." it mutters before making a low, almost inaudible whistle. Movement around the two combatants sounds, and three more dogs exit the bushes.

*as the two new K9 terrors enter the scene, Jackal starts to panic. Talking Monster dogs that could stand after 6 kevlar shredding round to the side were definetly out of his league....... he knew he sould have brought some automatics, and now with 1 injured and 3 new mouths, he was having a rather strange thought train*

Jackal: (( I'm really, really, really gonna have to bring back some hide. Better bullet protection = live... OMG! i'm a poacher NOOOOOO!!!!! ))

* and so he shakes off the random thought and takes chances and makes a break for it , Shooting  at the dogs in his way he sprints toward his waiting truck,  grenades, launchers and possibly an assault rifle*

The dogs follow closely at his heels, their deep barks showing their anger.

no. i'm running to my car. its around 400meters away, if i went back, it'd be farther, wouldn't it?

The dogs pick up speed and slowly begin to gain on Jackel.

Nazukeru looks over at Vince. "You failed?!" She turns her head back to the other two golems. "Any other ideas?"

s**t-o-meter: ARE YOU farkING WITH ME?

Reno sighs in annoyance as Vince's spell or whatever seems to fail. "Ok, my turn," He says. The flames coming out of the blade renew their frenzy, coming together to make a huge flaming vortex, which he then hurls towards the golems.

* i then take out two 12 inch daggers and hurl them towards the golems*

Nazukeru stares at the vortex and the daggers as they fly toward the golems.

Raziel: Do you realize that Jackal has been 200 meters away from the car the entire  time   he's been running?

If you haven't noticed. There are nasty crazy puppies on his back. Of course he's been running! and even b4 that, he was jogging to his car anyway. :-P

OC: Raziel: I was just thinking that he should have closer to the car by now. It confused me.

((fine. hes on top of the car now with a grenade launcher in each hand blasting the  dogs into heaps of rotting flesh. happy now?))

OC: Raz, I wasn't mad or anything. I was just confused.

The lead dog who spoke earlier is hit by a blast and is sent sprawling. Because of his previous injuries, he lie there unable to move. One of the other three dogs is hit and topples to the ground. The other two stand their ground for a moment before racing back into the trees. The disappear as quick as they came.

Oc: i'm sorry. naz. Lets get this party started!

* now that the other  wolves are gone, jackal ties up the one left in chains and starts removing shrapnel and charred skin, to decrease the risk of infection............. unfortunatly, he didn't have any form of anthestesia..... so he used tequila........ lots of it. :cry:*

Jackal*while working*: Don't feel too bad, at least i didn't use the stuff to clean your wounds ya freaky, talking ........ what are you anyway?

The dog growls weakly. "My name is Mesh. I was sent by my master, the wizard at the front of the castle. I am a lycanthr..." He goes limp as he loses energy. His chest heaves up and down as it tries to gain breath.

Jackal:...... lame.......... you're lucky i don't run you over with my truck.
Hmm............. i wonder if those guys got there safely??.........


Meh. I guess i'll go find out..

* and so begins the short drive back to the golem battle field, now with lots of things that go BOOM*

Back with the others...

Nazukeru watches as Vince's daggers bounce off the golem. She pulls her sword out and looks at Reno. "Do your fire portal again if you can!"

Chase nods at Nazu's request, and flames begin to swirl wildy around them, building into a massive pillar of fire until he swings the raging inferno down onto the golems again.

* do you guys want to end it b4 i get back or should i come back now?*

OC: In my point of view, it doesn't matter if you come back in now or after the battle. That's up to you.

"Don't jack with me!" She holds her eternal sword toward the spiraling fire column. Yelling, "Kogemasu Tsukemasu!" The entire column of fire suddenly turns into a giant black wall. "5...4...3...Bakahatsu shimasu!" The wall begins to shake. "The heat is rising! It'll blow! Mamorimasu!" A clear, purple shield slowly wound its way around the others. "This should keep the heat from..." As she spoke, the wall shook uncontrollably, cracks appearing down the sides. Tiny streams of smoke slipped out of the cracks. All of a sudden, the wall burst open, spewing rocks and fire all over the golems. With the intense heat, they're bodies began to melt. Roaring in agony, they fall to the ground, burning and angry.

OC: Yes, the heat is supposed to be intense enough to melt rock. No, I don't know what that actually is.

Chase spits towards the pile of molten rock, and turns back towards the others. "All in a day's work," he says with a wink. He sheathes his swords, and the flames extinguish. Something occurs to him, and he looks around. "Oi, where'd the army guy go?" he asks, although he doesn't actually care much.

( i have half a mind to run you over for my entrance..... lols!)

* you guys better start moving to  the magician's tower. *

OC: You'll have to come in some other way, Raz. lol

Nazukeru smiles at Chase. "Good job there." She deactivates her sword and slips it back into its holder on her side, turning to walk into the trees. "It seems we make a good team..." She says, letting her words trail off. She stops and turns to look at Chase, Vince, and Sya. "You never answered my question. What's your reason for joining me?" She asked,  suspicion glazing her voice.

my reason? *walks up to you*...i don't have anywhere else to go....

((aww you sound like a poor dawgie))

OC: Raz, please, don't start anything.

Nazukeru thinks a moment before grinning. "Aw, well, I guess that's for the best. If you were here for the money, then I'd have to split my profits. I figure we should head on. We're not too far from one of the castles."

fine.... still......... it did sound like a cheap line from an old cartoon... i'll meet you guys at the castle soon after you get into another fight. K?

BTW... what do i do about the dog you gave me?

OC: The dog...do what you want...keep him or let him go. Just don't rape him. I don't think anyone wants to see that.

"Well, it looks like it's just us now," Nazukeru says to the three others. She turns and looks around. "The castle is straight ahead."

Jackal:*calls out to the large animal in the back* Hey you! back there! what do you know about the magic guys that live in these woods?

*continues driving at 40km/ph in the jungle, looking for the castle*

OC: The dog will now be in the back of your vehicle, because a hurt dog doesn't run as fast as a car.

Mesh slowly groans. "Did I not say I worked for one of them? You're heading in the right direction if you're looking for them. He's got the power of fire."

Jackal: and here i am without a fire extingusher......

OC: Nice one, Raz. lol

P.S. You can reach the castle whenever you want, Raziel. That's what I plan to do with the rest of the group.

Nazukeru walks amongst the trees slowly. "It smells like there's a fire up ahead."

Nazukeru leads her group through the forest and notices a thin trail of smoke up ahead. "Looks like there's gonna be something up there." She picks up speed as her curiousity peeks.
