ok oni ( the demons of japan) are scared off by onion and monkey statues(supposedly) because the word for monkey in the local language is saru
if that helps also demons can be weakened by holy water( i think) but my best tip is create a demon trap from the triangle of art and a circle of protection, you the the words on the circle usually can be read from the inside so set it so you can read it from the outside and put the triangle of art inside.
here's a web page with the triangle on it and some magic circle ideas.

Do I have to open a new section called "rants and raves from fools" ?

Tengus were somehow frightened of powerful buddhists monks ... the rest is not accurate and "demons" cannot be hunted as they dont stay on our plan.

Mythologies and beliefs cannot be mixed like that ....

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised about the monkey statues but not for the reason given.  There is a legend of a war between demons/giants against the followers of the Buddha.  One of those who fought for the Buddha were monkeys.

The reason monkey statues work is because in japan saru, is a homonym for the word for "leaving".

I have formulated a demon trap i don't know if it works or not but give it a go all you need for it is another circle of protection for yourself and a black mirror. If i knew how to post it i would ok untill i figure it out noone can use it unless someone explains it to me.

my way of hunting demons, should the possablity ever arise is rather.....crude....i'd simply wrap a blessed rosary around my hand, douse that fist with holy water, and punch said demon in the face......i hope i never have to deal with a demon -_-

I believe He is the divine son of God who was crucified and came back to life three days later.  I believe He died to wipe out the sins of everyone in the world and it is possible to have a divine relationship with Him.

I hope you don't think I'm just spouting the Bible to you without giving this any thought.  I fell far from Christianity for many years and in my search for a 'divine connection' found myself with very pagan beliefs, denying the God of Abraham, and practicing witchcraft.

It took God's love and a couple of trances (one wherein I saw satan) to fulfill my understanding regarding this matter.  This journey has also taken almost half a century.  I'm not a young person.
