Very interesting, Dae. I sometimes think that because of how loose my joints are that it would be possible to shift. I get this feeling in my chest and shoulders where they're about to pop out and change to allow me to shift. It's a very weird feeling, too. Can't say as it's helped me any though. I have a few medical conditions, but I got them after birth, so maybe that's why I can't change or help that.....

 I know it would be difficult on your body.. but if someone really had enough power and magik in them, then it would get easier over time and wouldn't disfigure them at all.

 I can't p-shift, much to my dismay, but I truly believe that it's only because I'm missing something... some small little thing that would click in my brain and body and allow me to do it.

 So a mixture of abilities could cause at least a partial p-shift... very interesting. Has anyone else experienced this??

It's hard to categorize, I have no flat out abilities except for my weird dreams, but it's like a bunch of little things, that when added up just point to either insanity, or me being different from "normal" people.

hold up hold up hold up if everyone for the most part agrees that with some kind of psychic or magical abilities a p shift is possible why the hell did i get shot down on the first page???

I don't have a particular animal phenotype. I do possess the characteristics of a large, agressive, non-social (that doesn't mean solitary. It means they don't have a social structure like lions or wolves) animal that needs to sleep and eat a lot. But this can be anything from a bear to a crocodile to a wolverine to a baboon (I don't consider them social because there is no rigid social structure. The one that is biggest and strongest is the leader, and that's it)
I also experience berserker rage, and short bursts of intense strength and speed are characteristic of the animals I mentioned.
I don't consider myself a therianthrope or otherkin. Humans in the past have channeled animal spirits and aspects many reasons throughout history, so if anything I consider myself a mental throwback to ancient and even prehistoric humans.

I will correct you though. I do not truly p-shift. Not at all. To truly p-shift is something outside of the realm of anything known to be possible. Not saying it's impossible, but if it is it's gotta be pretty damn impossible.
I do not have the ability to physically shift from one form into another. Instead, I've learned to focus what comes instinctively to humans and animals when they are threatened or they seek to assert their dominance. I make my body appear larger, my face changes, I make my eyes change, and I seem to exert some, though not very much, control over the ability to send out pheromones, generally pheromones that let others know that I'm in fight mode. I feel that I have this control over my posturing because I have some weak, unfocused psychic potential.

As for where that comes from, I believe all humans have it. Some are just better at utilizing it than others. Why? I don't know and I won't pretend to know.
