Life doesn't draw lines so it make sense that love works on a learning curve the more you love and give love the less problems you have with it as you move along. Once that needy and insecure crap is stripped away and all you have is a desire to be with the person becuase you like them, love them and quite frankly want to shag them until the bed squeks your preety much on the right track, after that it is just work maintianing a (hopefully) good relationship.
So remember the more times you fal in love, and learn then the longer and more deeper the next one will be.

As to how screwed up people are becoming it is actually all the factors mentioned, it is you just need to take a ruthless veiw to see why. Teens have maaleable minds, based toatlly around inexperience and hormones. They are practically walking piles of need and insecurity. Even children are just little want machines.
So if you want to use them sell to them appeal to them, you go for their basest desires. You feed those primal parts of their minds. So Sex sells, selling beauty sells. Its all empty promises but they sell, and people buy into it. Its not about values it is about using flaws to make money.
Then there is the role models who are the Rock stars and actors who live by their makerting sex, and beauty and crap and peolple think that they have great lives becuase of it, which really isn't true. But people buy into that as well.
Lastly there is the parents who don't give their kids what they need to work their way throught all the BS the world is throwing at them.
We are a part of society and as such we are modelled in the time we were born, there are limits though, common sense suggests that many thing "normal" people do really should qualify a time out in an ice bath. Other things are just straighout crazy but people do them. the PC poliy is a faciest policy, it takes away freedon. Look on the brightside as moral entropy continues the closer we come to social breakdown and civil wars. When the end when it ends whoever is left wil be wiser and hopefully build something better.

I apologize but I must take the cynical view here. We're human, therefore we err. We won't build anything better or much more permanent. We'll simply put things back where they should have stayed for a while and then the entropy begins again. It's a cycle, like the beating of a heart. In and out, up and down. As long as life survives so does this cycle. Also, quite frankly - screw PC. I watch what I say on here out of respect for my fellows here, not because I feel I must. This I believe is the higher reasoning. Who cares about a person's feelings? If you cater to that person without them having earned that they have no appreciation for it and will walk all over you. However if they earn your respect and deferrence and vice versa then there will arise a mutually rewarding respectful relationship where a true exchange of ideas can occur.

I like the idea of having to establish respect for someone who you've not seen or just talked with over the net..  Though, i may say that online dating could be very dangerous as well.

I have a friend who've met somebody online like a few years ago.  They chatted for like 2 years before they decided to take the relationship to a new level then finally decided to meet.  They met alright, firstly things went on fine. Then soon they decided to get married and eventually my friend went to live with him in the states.  After 1 year I just  hear she was dead.  She was actually killed by her husband out of jealousy or something.  And they indeed met online.  2 years of establishing something there went to nothing....So online dating could be very harmful too...Oh well, that's as far as i know...

My little sister introduces her boyfriends to me to help prevent thiss sort of thing. Basically, I'm so huge and naturally look/sound so mean that it scares them into not hurting her. It works too. My baby sis brought her husband home to meet the family and the first time he laid eye on me (I promise folks I was in a good mood) he thought he was going to die. I hadn't  even formed and opinion about the guy yet! So, here's to big brothers who look like psychopaths...................

I remember how my brothers were ever protective of me once.. But later on they got over it .  Ha ha...looks like they got tired of it anyway.  Otherwise,  I would have grown like one old spinster...

Oh well, back to the topic! And yes, quite a crazy world out there.  The least you expect the more it arises.  And this is just one case of my friends'.  I'm still aware that there are still more out there.  Although, there are some good endings too...I know a few actually...

Growing up how I did, and doing what I did; seems to have given me an ever cruel countenance. I don't like to fight, though I do it well. I will do anything to protect those few I care for......and Nina........If I could clone me and send me over to you I would...but you gotta teach me how to speak your language when I get there!  cheesy

When I was 14 yes, I did. Rather, I had a crush on a guy, and he was from another country, so of course, nothing would come of that.
