Now that I found this....

I find myself in this "Mode" everyday when I am at work

It is also due to my extensive training in several martial arts

all this talk about battle instict reminds me of a year ago when i was 12. well i was sitting there on some seat that was going to be thrown out and i saw this creature walking towards me all covered in blood so i pointed it out to my freind he thought i was crazy, (he couldnt see anything there) well this creature put  his blood covered hand on my shoulder, so i got up and started to beat it up a bit and it fought back really well there where a few times when it almost had me but i still beat it up then i looked at on the floor and it pulled me towards it and then it disapeared. my freind was thinking i was playing a game at first until he saw that my eyes had gone red, (my vision went red aswell)
while they where red i almost killed my freind but after all of this i made him promise never to talk about it again but it wasnt until after all this happened i saw it, it was as if i was just recording it but its stuck in my head but ever since then i have had these feelingthat somthing is trying to rule my body. i found out in a vision that my very soul and spirit is being slowly ripped apart by this demon, its starting to stop me having reall emotions. but ever since i was four this weird stuff has been happening to me and slowly i have found out what is going on. i read in one of my sources i will not name because of what happened to my exgirlfreind, that there was a group of people in certtain generations, (i think it said around every 6 genarations that the beast let them be seen by a select few). i finaly got this out i broke my own promise but i had to some day.

Talk to me in private about this.

Back on topic, I think there's battle instincts. When I was about 9, a 16 year old came up to me and threw a punch at me. Without thinking I dodged it instinctively, he continued trying to hit me in the back of the head, in which i simply blocked every hit with the palm of my hand. Though since I was so young the only damage it did to me was scare me after it happend, but there wasn't a mark on me. The kid got sent to juvie, how embarassing when it be having to explain you couldn't beat up a nine year old.

I can relate with alot of the posts. Like some other here, i grew up in a neighborhood that wasn't near the best, but could have been worse. I was average sized kid, but a bit of a loner aside from 3 of my neighborhood friends. one of my friends was a freshman, and saw me as kind of a little brother so he taught me how to fight. since like i said it wasn't a great neighborhood, and alot of places were rundown, he taught me how to improvise. thats when i found my true fighting talent. We were in his backyard sparring, and one day he got a little too rough and got a strong shot in my stomach. he just grinned and said"get up, you can do better than that" so, i was angry and used what he taught me, improvisation. i picked up a broken handle to a mop they had neglected to throw away and had him on the ground in under a minute. I have never been active in martial arts (dont have the patience for it), my fighting is self taught aside from sparring with friends. Im a pretty good fist fighter, and i'll only turn to a staff if im outnumbered or if someone has an unfair advantage.

Martial arts has taught me patience and discipline, not fighting aptitude.  I think it's far more valuable in everyday life.

Whether or not you can fight says nothing about you as a person. Whether or not your first choice is to fight...does.

i have never done any training in martial arts, and yet i know how to protect myself, i get into fight very often, mostly more against me, but it always come out with me beating them.

i only got some serious injuries when they used knifes, yeah some people in Denmark are insane.

but as Moloch says im very easy to get into fights since i use that as my main way of solving problems
hehe

hey  i was just wondering if somebody could explain this, or maybe somebody has experineced something like this or knows somebody who has. like in the title when i get angry and/or am in a fight i seem to have a.... battle instinct is the best way to describe it. i have a background in martial arts but never reached black belt or anything. maybe im just naturally talented but it's like i switch from normal mode to battle mode, i just know what to do in a fight i can tell what their going to do sometimes and just all of my natural abilitties and senses are enhanced. thank you in advance for any help.

Predictability. I have a theory; The human body is capable of only a limited amount of anatomical movements, angles, positions, etc. This is shown through observations of all the muscles, bones and structure of the said person's body. My theory is that if we could break down all of this into one equation, not mathematical exactly, but an equation that would evaluate a person's capabilities including their general knowledge and fighting experience, we could infact predict what that person can do and will do (considering they aren't assisted by divine intervention). In theory this equation, when applied to an opponent, could literally let you know exactly what your opponent is going to do. You could even, as said before, close your eyes and win, as long as you have already estimated and compensated for all their restrictions (speed, reflexes, etc).

What I'm trying to say is, this line of thought could be in some's genes passed down from some early ancestor who observed other's movements and gradually had the "formula" in bred into their genetics.
