I plan to attend the Burning Man Festival this year. It takes place like every year in the Nevada desert. Are they any members interested to set up some monstrous attraction ?

You're actually going to that?  Have you been to one before?  I first found out about the event when I was a kid searching on google images for a graphic of a "burning man."  Man, was I suprised!  doh!

Unfortunately, I have never been sad but a few of my friends did !
It is a mix of carnival, rave and global experiment  taking place in a desert far from any civilization.  A place for monsters to show up !

I would most definitely attend Burning Man, if there was a group of friends going, and a meet up of Internet companions to share in the experience....... wink

We could start a Burning Man meetup.......? Spread it across a few different websites......?

Of course, it would have to be serious participants only, and it would take a lot of planning to make it work.....

I'd love to attend burning man at least once though. This year's as good as any I suppose.... hatcat

This year is the Green man so it may stick to monstrous.com.

Best thing would be to rent a car and leave from San Francisco. Average budget for three days: 500-600$/per pers.  minimum including registration with maybe a little sponsorship from monstrous.com.

I think if we are 4 minimum, it can work wink  Hands Up !

Can someone tell me what Burning Man is? (A little better description than the previous one, please.) I think I've heard of it, but I still don't know what it is. It sounds like it's something like Woodstock or OzzFest but with no music. Is that right?

Kind of pagan celebration in the middle of the desert. People dress up, parade, get stoned, party and ....  Hopefully, there are no angry neighbours and stupid cops around ....

Plenty of information on their main site. --- http://www.burningman.com/

It sounds like a blast, other than getting stoned. Asthma and smoke don't mix well. lol.

For me personally, age is in the mental capacity. I don't give a crap how old someone is in actual years. I was always older mentally than physically. On the other hand... it is rather hard to post some things because of the underage members of Mon. Maybe they could sign a waver... but I don't really know how that would work. Witnessed by a parent somehow? I dunno. lol.   focus
