As I look around the board I realize that there are many things I don't know about many of the members who have been here for a while, so I'd like to keep this thread for keeping track of who's who and a little about each other as our profiles don't provide much.  New members as well as old are free to post here, but unlike "I'm new" each poster should have just one post as a profile and discussion kept elsewhere.  Please include as much as you feel comfortable disclosing about yourself (other than security risks of course) so that we can get to know one another better and perhaps find a few like minds we didn't know existed.  I would be especially happy if the mods would post here so other members can get a feel for who we are and who they might feel most comfortable talking to should problems arise.  I ask that responses to profiles be kept to PM unless it seems there might be a general discussion spawned by something found here, in which case a new thread should be made.

To start things off, I'm phyrrestar, more commonly called pstar or phyrr.
I'm in college and studying computer science in engineering.
I'm very given to research and "proof" though I have no problem with personal beliefs if they are stated as such.
I'm currently co-moding the RPGs and Games section, and though I may be female, I am also an avid gamer.
I have an odd mix of religious beliefs, neither Christian nor Pagan is strange to me.
Although I do not generally label myself as such, I fall under both the psi vampire and therianthrope categories.
I'm a lover of almost all monsters (except zombies) from both modern times and folklore and find them utterly adorable and/or beautiful.  Still, my favorite probably stands as the werewolf, closely followed by the White Wolf vampires.

Name: Moloch
Position: Guardian; Moderator of subcommunities Mayday! Mayday!, Human Monsters & co-Moderator of The Psi-Zone.
I am a college graduate, holding an Associate's Degree in Specialized Business; major: Criminal Justice
I am an author, my work may be found both here in the Monstrous Library and on the Front Page of the site, under news.
My beliefs are...complex.
I am particularly fond of those things that others tend to find most disturbing; as well as the bleak and depressing. My favorite monster is of course, the Vampire. I have no distinctions between which one I like best, though 'Lestat'; a character created by Anne Rice, would be my favorite if I had to choose, mainly because his attitude most closely resembles what I would be if I could throw caution to the wind.

Lastly, I take my duties here quite seriously. This is one of the VERY few places where I feel both welcome & accepted. We should ALL be so fortunate as to find that in our lives.

Name: M Sidhe (or Michael Slether)
Position: Guardian: HQ Member moderates the quite forums of the Fae and Subterranean.

I'm a high school freshman and live in the United States, but my soul is in the British Isles. I enjoy reading and writing about the old mythologies and legends of the area. My favorite authors are JK Rowling, Terry Pratchett, and HP Lovecraft. (I currently own four of the toy vault Cthulhu Plush: Ithaqua, Shoggoth, Cthulhu, and the Hound of Tindalos. Call me a nerd I dare you.) I like to think of me as having the second sight with seeing ghost and fairies. I've read so much about them I get angry when people use the stereotype kind of fairy. Monstrous is my sanctuary with these nice people who post here. I like to help the newcomers and offer support to my fellow moderators. I’d like it if you dropped me a PM and we can chat some.

Robigus reporting, known as Pat outside the confines of the net.  As a second year student, I am a Rhetoric Major in the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, having seen the errors of my ways in attempting to be a Computer Scientist.  Writing is a hobby of mine along with gaming and reading, but my true passion lies in computers.  I spend most of the time that I have away from homework at CITES HelpDesk, where I am  a technical support consultant for the entire network of University facilities.  When it comes to beliefs, I could call mine complex as many people here do, but that is simply not the case.  My beliefs are lenthy.  It would take a decent discussion to be able to describe all of them and are summed up in reference to others' beliefs directly.  I have come to this site not because I necessarily believe in any part of the supernatural, but because I love the community.  I do believe in some aspects of the supernatural, but I enjoy discussion of possibilities more often that straight fact.  Why, do you ask?  The discussion of possibilities allows for the discussion of base logic.  Logic is another one of my passions.

Well, I shall leave that for now.  If you have any questions or additions that I should make, PM me and I shall edit this.

Kadesh here. I'm .... well, I don't know exactly. I believe in a variety of things, and have gone through life feeling as if I was born in the wrong century. I've never felt that I fit in at all. And then I found Monstrous. I'm not weird or crazy after all, and it's such a relief. I'm obsessed with posibilities and am always doing research on my own to prove and/or back up my theories. I love a good video game, but I honestly couldn't tell you anything about them; I just play. I dabble in writing and would love to write a book someday. I'm outspoken and opnionated, but I don't mind being corrected when I'm wrong. (Which is more than I like.)  Feel free to PM me anytime.

Another curtained life

« Reply #5 on: February 28, 2007, 10:23:45 PM »

I'm Lena, known on most other forums as Elennar.  I'm a sang/psy vamp, poet, metalhead, and piper.  I don't know much about anything in particular (unless you hit the subject of one of my past or present obsessions, in which case I can tell far more than you'd ever want to know) but something about just about everything. I'm rather crazy and random, with a tendency to quote inside jokes or song lyrics, much to the confusion of everyone around me. I also like to randomly run into walls or throw myself across a room and hit the floor, for no better reason than to scare people and because I can without hurting myself (my dad trained to be a stuntman and taught me how to land, plus I'm a lot less fragile than I look). I can swear in 15 languages, speak French almost fluently, and am now learning Finnish, which so far isn't as hard as I expected.
PM me, I don't bite...hard...

Screen Name: VenDoh
Real Name: Tomas Truax
Position: Moderator of The Otherkin & Therians Sub-Community.
Story:
Right now I work as maintenance at the Hoover Dam. I am ¼ Native American, ¼ Dutch, ¼ Norwegian, and ¼ Scottish. I take pride in my heritage very much. My mother was a Native American shaman and from the age I was 2 she taught me in the ways of shamanism. Once I was about 12 I started learning other types of magik and was encouraged to do so. From then on I was driven to find a system of magik that went back to the old ways, and used aspects from all eastern and western magiks I could learn. Eventually I came up with my own system which I now practice.
My religious beliefs are also very different and hard to explain. It all basically sums up, however, that if you’re good you will get what you deserve, and if you’re bad, well you know. A lot of my beliefs are from my studies of mythology and theology that has led me to my belief system.
Personality: I’m like a Viking shaman-warrior and many of my friends have described me of being born a couple few centuries too late. Most people describe me as weird. Some of my more close friends have said that in 40 years I’ll be Marv from Sin City. I am considered insane by a lot of people as well. I fancy myself as a possible were-wolf too. I found Monstrous by chance and have loved being part of it ever since. I can feel like I belong somewhere.
Hobbies:
I am an avid outdoors man, and a self-taught mixed martial artist. I hunt, fish, hike, and camp when I get the chance. I fancy myself some what of a survivalist as well. On rainy days I let my creative side out and do some writing and drawing/painting. I am also a drummer of 10 years.

I am more than willing to help anyone I can, so feel free to P/M me, I always enjoy a good chat. bat

I'm Ericka. Known to most onliners as E/B.

Like Leny I am a psy vamp, poet, and metalhead, but alas, I do not play the pipes. (she's pretty good though) I enjoy acting, and singing, and have some abilities concerning fire.

I love to learn about anything and everything and the supernatural has always been a topic of interest for me. I have always felt a bit out of place in the world, so finding Mon was a welcome relief. This site is my safe haven. These people, my guiding lights. I don't know where I'd be without you guys.

As always, PM me, or write me on MSN or YIM. I'm always up for a little talk.

E/B

Hi.  I'm Rob.  I'm a 42 year old resident of Wilmington, Delaware in the USA.  I work as a Financial Analyist in Delaware.  I've long been interested in the paranormal and the supernatural.  From that I developed a fascination with Science Fiction and Horror, both in film and on television.  I have an extensive collection of movies and TV shows on video tape and DVD.
I have two children, and have been married for 17 years.  Here a Monstrous I moderate the Monstervision forums along with my friend, Markus.

Howdy peeps, i left a hi on the im new pt. 2, but i would like to dig more into my life and spill forth who i am so, here goes

my name is Tim, im 16 years old and i live in Denmark, im a werewolf, tho not able to p-shift, but working hard to attain it.
i think i got it from my parents... they died in a car accident when i was little, and then i end on this orphanage, where i dont have any to rely to or any friends to speak and have with, so in my spare time i go around as the loner, which i ok with me, tho someone to have something to do something with would be nice, now that i found you guys here on monstrous im really happy that i can share my life with.
i took the personality test Rykon posted, and i scored as a brown, aggresive and protective to those i care about, and that is right.

i already feel like home here, so im sure im gonna have a great time with all you people here.
*howling*

with all respect and understanding

Hello everyone! My name is whitewolf (has nothing to do with white wolf vampires its just I like wolves and I'm... white. yeah so...) I am finishing up my sophomore year of high school. I am 16 and I live in the US. I'm not any type of paranormal being. I'm just an ordinary average girl which is kinda a bummer.
I love werewolves. I think they are fascinating.  shocked
I am still working my way around all of the boards and I have to say, its pretty interesting.
Well... that's all I've got.
