Doom3 vs F.E.A.R

Strangely enough a lot of FPS games were published on the forum but no one have talked about doom3. On the other hand F.E.A.R was published although I think doom3 would be much worthy than F.E.A.R. I think what attracts people to fear is it's story .. but doom3 is magnificent and has more horror it also have a good story but on of the drawbacks is that its not so obvious untill before the end of the game. Well that was my opinion, whats yours?

I think I'm going to have to play Doom 3 now to find out. I generally really hate FPS, but I suppose I can sacrifice that for the common good of discussion. I just find it unbelievable that a game could be worse than F.E.A.R. F.E.A.R. draws you in, has both suprise and suspense, and actually warps your reality in a very real and deadly manner. I don't remember the old Doom games having much other than gory shoot 'em up, but I haven't played the new one. I'll try to get a copy ASAP so I can discuss here more intelligently.

Doom 1 & 2 are CRAP .. I am talking about doom3 .. it also envolves great suspense, gore and surprise.

I'd have to disagree about 1 and 2. They were very good, solid games and absolutely adored in their time (and I believe they still are). As I said, I'll get back to you on Doom 3 once I get a chance to play it.

What's so crappy about Doom 1 and 2? Sure, the graphics aren't great, but they are the roots and history of the FPS. Besides, you never even mentioned Ultimate Doom. Do you think that's crap too? They weren't meant to be things that scared you.
