Okay, so this game may not be very "Monstrous" per say (though its little avatars aren't exactly human), but this game looks like the next big thing.  When I first saw the demo, I was simply stunned for the first time since I became aware of Okami and Spore.  The innovation, physics, and sheer beauty of the game is astouding.

From what I gather, the idea is you work together with some friends with their real-time physics in an absolutely stunning world to collect items and make it through levels.  It is a puzzle game, a cooperative game, and a competitive game all in one.  There also is an ability to create your own levels by dropping objects you have found or made into the world and decorating them with stamps or coloring them with "markers".  Not only do all these behave with unbelievable physics as well, but you can also use them to interact with other players (for example, stick a flower on someone's head).

The customizable nature of this game, as well as its brilliant use of the PS3's computing power, is what I think makes this game a must-buy.  Given the PS3 network, it can be infinitely changed with new objects in the game's currently realistic yet strangely cutesy fantasy world.  Perhaps if this game hits the market as hard as it seems it will we might see some interesting expansions dealing with some slightly more serious and interesting avatars and worlds.

If you would like to view the developer's demo of LittleBigPlanet, go to www.gametrailers.com and search for the name of the game.  I would post a direct link, but that sometimes can cause problems with sites that have so much traffic.
