This may not be a rule, but something has been bugging me. Why are some post deleted? Some of mine are deleted with the topic when they seem to be good topics and excelent post. (If you know what I meen.  wink)

A post will often be deleted if it qualifies as spam.  Recently the most common form has been one word responses.  Also a topic that is in essence spam will be deleted.  If you posted in those topics your post will be deleted with the topic.  A huge chunk of posts I recently deleted was the little argument in the "Hi I'm new topic..." because it was full of spam and flames.

Another recently common form of spam was person to person post discussion which benefited only those involved.

Also, sometimes you think the topic has been deleted when it has only been relocated or merged with another and similar topic.

So basically, if it breaks a rule it's deleted...same can go for members.

Yes, there has been a slight glitch.  The most serious form were the crashes we used to have, fortunately those have been delt with.

Due to a massive influx of greatly appreciated members who post regularly, the ranking system had become obsolete.  The post count has been reorganized to fit the underestimated potential of our wonderful members.

The new ranking system will be posted in News and Announcements shortly.

Sorry, Nina. It was my idea to raise the post-thresholds for ranks. I just felt that it had to be more difficult to make the first jump. And hey! you're only 45 or so away from promotion - you'll manage that in a few days  wink

Some were locked because they had gotten so off topic they were no longer feasible. Some becuase they hadn't been posted in for a long time. Some because they were flame/troll magnets.
