(I do have another name then Alexis, but Alexis and Sever both suit me better.)

I picked mine up from Ancient Egyptian culture... but they stole it from the Sumarians. Maybe what the Goddess represented doesn't totally fit me.. but I think the name suits me just fine. I actually prefer my online names to my real one. My real name is so..... soo....... bleh.

Kadesh, yesterday I watched Stargate 2008 ( yes, Im a fan of almost all SciFi), and main character was named Kadesh. And maybe you know the story in Stargate, it is very related to Egyptian history. Ok, more quasi history....

No... I've never seen a single episode of anything like that. The closest I've come is watching "Galaxy Quest" lol. But it sounds interesting... I'll have to check it out.

Nina is right, the Stargate stuff is awesome. High quality TV there, let me tell you.

As for my name. It belonged to a God before me, no jokes please. This was a God who demanded child sacrifice. The idol was a metal statue, hollow, and huge. It had outstretched hands too. The priests would build a fire inside it, and once it was burning hot, a child, sometimes as young as a newborn, would be placed in the idol's hands to burn alive.

Yep, Moloch is Hebrew for "God" or meaning sacrifice associated with fire, I think, and historically affiliated with the cultures of the Middle East. I've done my homework, already read this stuff on a website a few months back. Interesting, is Stargate that good? I get bored easily with sci-fic movies but I'll watch it one of these days, give it a shot.  wink

It's VERY good. On a scale of 0-5 stars I give it 5.

Nothing like them. Plus, this one's at least sort of grounded in reality.

Thank goodness, I guess what strikes me when in comes to sci-fic movies is aliens and and dull travels trough the galaxies, but when it has a pitch of reality it's worth it. Sci-fic and western are my least favorites, the rest depends on my curiosity or mood at the time.

I thought that Satan, Moloch and Mephistopheles were all names for Ahriman, the dark and malevolent spirit of the Zoroastrian faith, that drags us downwards into the mineral world, materiality, mechanisation and death? tongue
