sea people and others

there are many troll and hobbit stories out there but stories about sea people
like the muse people that look like you and I but they have long snouts and can breath
water like it was air . some of the old saliers have sead that they can stop time
and tamper with peoples lives

I've never heard of the muse people. I have heard of sailors confusing manatees (and possibly dolphins) with mermaids though. I guess it's possible. Long days and nights at sea, I suppose you'd start to see what you want instead of what's there. What else have you heard about muse people?
