I'm a huge horror fan and a huge anime fan for that matter but as I search this site I can not find anything about anime horror like:

Paranoia Agent
Perfect Blue
Vampire Hunter D
Hellsing
Requiem from the Darkness
Wicked City
Soul Taker
Shin Megami Tensei

Even if you don't find them particularly scary anime does have some pretty cool monsters and things.
If there is anything on this site about that please guide me to it.
Otherwise ... I guess we can discuss them under this topic or whatever.

I actually love all the Persona games and I think that their interpretations of the demons in it. 
I don't think that they are the greatest but they do look pretty cool.   cool
Most of the game developers have really good monster and demon ideas.  If you really like the Persona series check out:
-Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
-Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 1-2
-Galerians: Ash (Crazy Hard to Find but worth it)

Speaking of Persona they have also just made an anime series of it that you might want to check out.
It is not the same as the games but it still has good action and blood.

Anime huh? i've seen bits and peices of the manga but meh....


Oh and ive played nocturne/lucifer's call and DDS 2.......... never got around to finishing them though....  tongue


haven't finished persona 3 either..... i really need to stop reading walkthroughs all the way through. cry

Hellsing is amazing!!! I love the manga. The first anime is okay, but Hellsing Ultimate is the best. It makes me sad that the company stopped producing anything right after the third (I think that's the one) came out. I'm really hoping another company picks it up.

Although you have to have an open mind for this anime, it's was one of my absolute favorites back in the day.
It's Angel Sanctuary. I believe it can be classified as a horror/romance.

Yeah, actually I saw all of Angel Sanctuary (but it took my friend about two years to hunt it all down)  grin

It was fairly good but the ending that wasn't exactly an ending sort of disappointed me just a tad.  If you like that series a lot you should check out the anime X.  It's about the apocalypse and the seven angels of heaven and the seven angels of earth or something like that.  There are some pretty freaky dream sequences that involve pools of blood and razor wire...  Plus the way two people get their swords is they have to rip them out of the stomachs of girls.  Neat idea.  I think it was done by the same guy and it's pretty good ... although it must be noted that it contains several ... awkward moments. undecided embarassed

As for Hellsing the original series wasn't too terribly good and Ultimate is definately the better of the two. 
If you are a fan of Hellsing another great movie to see about vampires is Vampire Hunter D and it's sequel Bloodlust.  Both are excellent movies although the original has pretty crappy animation.  Oh well, can't have everything.

Angel Sanctuary, Hellsing, and some manga about mermaids.  I haven't read/watched a lot of those though.  I'm more of and action/humor/romance person.

But I did read the last chapter of Angel Sanctuary and the pictures of those bloody baby things were a bit...odd.  But I applaud it's plot.  I should read the whole thing though grin

Yeah the Hellsing manga is excellent but the original anime they did for it was rather ... bad, to say the least.  Hellsing Ultimate follows the manga so much better although it's taking forever to be released.  (One hour a year, tops.)

What's this thing about a manga about mermaids?  I'm afraid I missed that one...

Also, has anyone read the manga Parasyte, it's not super scary but the monster designs are incredible and it's almost impossible to put down.  (Also I mention this because supposedly they are working on a live-action movie for it right now.  If anything else comes up about it, I'll keep you posted.)
