People hear that I am a horror writer and they think that I must be a monster, but actually I have the heart of a small child - I keep it in a jar on my desk. - Robert Bloch

Have seen the anime for Claymore and for Yu Yu Hakusho.  I wasn't a huge fan of the Claymore anime, maybe the manga is better I don't know.  As for Yu Yu Hakusho, it used to be one of my favorite anime series ever ... until they decided not to finish it on Cartoon Network. cry

*Sigh*

I have a DVD collection of the series, thanks to the smuggling copyright-infringing  pirates of china ^_^

Yeah, I think I own some of those counterfeit series (At least five) of which you speak, except they aren't Yu Yu Hakusho.  Of that I have about thirty-some-odd episodes recorded on VHS.  Hurray for old worn out technology!!! grin

Anyway, have any of you seen Requiem for the Darkness? (Known as 99 Stories in Japan.)
I'm just wondering because that is one creepy messed up series and if any of you get the chance check it out.

Also, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Paranoia Agent of Perfect Blue yet.  Those are hands down the single most scary psychological horror anime I have ever seen.  Perfect Blue might be one of the creepiest movies I've ever seen anime or live action.  Hmmm, must look into that one.

Yeah, actually I saw all of Angel Sanctuary (but it took my friend about two years to hunt it all down)  grin

It was fairly good but the ending that wasn't exactly an ending sort of disappointed me just a tad.  If you like that series a lot you should check out the anime X.  It's about the apocalypse and the seven angels of heaven and the seven angels of earth or something like that.  There are some pretty freaky dream sequences that involve pools of blood and razor wire...  Plus the way two people get their swords is they have to rip them out of the stomachs of girls.  Neat idea.  I think it was done by the same guy and it's pretty good ... although it must be noted that it contains several ... awkward moments. undecided embarassed

As for Hellsing the original series wasn't too terribly good and Ultimate is definately the better of the two.
If you are a fan of Hellsing another great movie to see about vampires is Vampire Hunter D and it's sequel Bloodlust.  Both are excellent movies although the original has pretty crappy animation.  Oh well, can't have everything.
You saw it all?
I thought they just did like the first three mangas and then didn't do anymore of the anime?  huh

It is better to conquer yourself than to win many battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.

The situation is a demonic paradox: we have toppled the system but we still carry its genes.
