Lately, i've been having nightmares, every single night, This has been happening ever since i went back to live with my father. At first i was having nightmares where i was endangered, or scared, or other people were scared and about to be killed, dreams like that. But last night i had a different dream, where i was in my bed, watching tv, suddenly the tv started blinking, and everthing started to vibrate, and kind of shake rapidly, and my vision was completely blurred. Immediately following the vibrations, i'm being held back by what in my dream is, what i believe to be a demon. I try as hard as i can, and struggle to call for help, but all i manage to do is move my leg. There are moments where it gets less intense, and i'm able to move around a little, and try to make a little noise, by banging my hand on my bed, but nobody can hear it. All during this, it was very difficult to breathe, and i couldn't see what was doing it, but i had in my mind that it was a demon. Before this dream, i had one other, where i was at my grandmoher's house again, and my brother had said something to me, not something that would get me really angry, but in the dream i started to flex and twist my body in weird positions i was so angry, and soon woke up. The only reason i woke up is because my dog started barking, which he always does when i have demonic nightmares, but he always barks down towards the stairs. the first time he relly started to bark for no reason that i remember was when he started baring into the air in my kitchen, which is downstairs. I want to figure out why i've been having these dreams, and if there's anything i can do to help prevent them.

I've had similar experiences. but none of the images. i just cant move, i'm awake, i couldn't move anything. i was trapped. Then the vibrations come. I can't really explain how they felt. just that they were encompasing my body, making it tense so much that it actually hurt. these used to happen during twelve o'clock or three a.m.

It really sucked.
.........I'm just wondering. are these two phenomena related in nature somehow?

I'll search the internet farther, to see if i can find any suggestions to solve the situation, and post anything here for anyone else who's been having similar problems. It's gotten to the point where i'm almost scared to sleep. Any help woud be dearly appreciated.

Last time it happened. i decided to stop it by focusing on a single spot on my body, and then releasing it back out in a moment.(ala big bang. the expansion of the universe is supposed to end when it achives entorphy or energy death.)

The wave of energy hit the borders of my being and reflected back upon it self and possibly canceled itself out. or maybe it just went dormant.

anyway the "chaos" was so focused that it could only create an outward wave when i released it . which meant it was released in a perfect spherrical wave.

If a demon is doing this to you. first you should try to regain control by disrupting his.

What better way than a big bang?

What you may be experiencing is actually a medical condition called Sleep Paralysis, and could be being triggered by Sleep Apnea. There is another medical possibility. Though, I must ask: Have you ever heard of being 'ridden' by a witch? This is what you're both describing, though at the moment the correct name for it escapes me. These other two conditions I've listed though, are usually the true culprits. I hope this helps some. Always remember in any case, eliminate the mundane before you consider the supernatural.

I remember i used to have cases of sleep paralysis when i was a little boy, i think it happened about three times, I remember that i had trouble breathing in my sleep as a little boy, i used to snore alot, and I remember my mother waking me up because she heard me gasping. Although it hasn't happened since i was about 6 or seven years old. I don't remember if i was sleeping face up or not, but it could have aided both symptoms if i was..And i've heard of being ridden by a witch moloch, but I can't say I know too much about it. I remember before i went back to sleep after my first dream, i was scared that a demon may be in the house, and would harm me or something. I remember thinking after i woke up from my second dream, that i had astral projected, which i've done in the past without having full control over what i was doing..maybe my thoughts could have attracted somehing to cause that dream? Thank you for  helping everyone. Now that i think of it, i do remember my mother talking about being ridden by a witch as a child, when i would describe to her my dreams...

Are you currently taking any sleeping medication? Please note that  certain prescription sleeping drugs have a few nasty side effects, one of those being nightmares....

You did say that these dreams started happening once you started to live with your father, maybe that had something to do with it? Perhaps the force holding you down was your subconcious letting you know that you are unhappy with your current situation.

Sleep paralysis is actually quite common.

One way of interpreting it is as follows.

Physical body asleep - dreaming body awake.

It is often accompanied by sensations of heavy vibrations or noise. Typically it appears as if one is completely awake in the same room where you went to sleep, albeit with very slight variations in the environment. Often it is accompanied by the sensation of inability to move the physical structure. After much concentration it becomes possible to move small parts of the body but this is then accompanied by the sensation of waking up.

Robert Bruce describes these experiences in his books on astral projection. He has a good website too. You can check out his forums to chat to other people who have had similar issues. That may be of some comfort initself.

One thing I would add though, during the actual experience the mind can often explain things in peculiar ways. This is the dreaming mind. It is not the mind of daily activity you use to brush your teeth and do your accounts. Interpretations made under such conditions are a little loose! They tend to borrow from themes that have previously impacted the imagination.

The same goes for my explanation above. This is how I explain this stuff to me. It may not fit for you. Its just my view of the world.

Re being 'ridden' by a witch, well I just adore the  phrase. So descriptive, and just as valid as anything I have written above.

If you are able to eliminate all medical & psychological reasons, I would say Moloch is right. What you are describing is known as being ridden or more commonly as Old Hag syndrome. I do think you need to have a professional explore the connection of the timing between moving in with your father & the start of the dreams. It does seem to me that these dreams could be a manifestation of feelings you don't allow yourself in the physical world.

Thank you for posting this.  You said word for word what I have been experiencing for the past month.  I'm glad to know it's not something paranormal.
