Maybe its because I have been hunted so much tybalt, but I don't think you should be inviting trouble. If they come, I deal with them, if not I leave them alone. Challenging or instigating it makes things infinitely worse. I guess if you don't mind dying by the hand of a skilled hunter, then keep testing your luck. Me, my skils are constantly growing and developing and I would like to see where they take me. I have no desire to die and while you are right and the majority of hunters we may run across are inept or pretenders, there is the real deal out there and they are masters of their craft. Do not underestimate them, but also be prepared when they come. Unless you are confident in your ability to kill, just run. There's no shame in wanting to live, and chances are you will eveade them to the point they will focus on something else to kill. <sigh> no one will listen to me anyway, so do what you must. And before you puff up at me tybalt, I do not doubt you abilities just so you know. Give it a few years and you will understand the things I am talking about.

Oh and i wasn't talking about threats. Most of the time threats are empty.

Immortalkain, I have territory to defend, if there is a new being that is not human or is looking to mess with the true mysterous of this world I have to go to it. I am a of a species where it is not un-common to challenge another one of my kind for territory. I am not ever worry about a human, now if they have some intelliegnce they come in a group and I may take them more seriously. Fighting is nothing new to me, and some one close turning on me will never be familiar. Half my life I fight for this land, so please forgive me if I seem a bit pompus about my abilities, but I, unlike so many other species have to use my often, and I know exactly what and can and will do.

Lastly, you spoke about how I should be so careful inless I want to die. You are assuming I am wanting to live. It is true, I could have a un-lucky day and some how be killed, even by a dawg, but no, I am not worried about living which makes me even more dangerous. Be weary of the monster who fights with out love of life. I have suffered a wound that will never heal, it is a private wound so I will not go into it. The wound does not affect my abilities but only my want to live. That is all about the wound, I will not go into it, only that it is on my mind every day.
Me, my prey, my hunters, and my hunted have some thing in common.
We will only be taken by the best. Some hunter who really wants my ass as a trophy will farking work for it because I will only be taken by the best, if I am truly seeing my last days then I am not going to settle for some pathetic weapon, I will only finish with the best!

You have a hunter ScaryFrightened, are you really going to be intimidated by a human? There is a reason why he wants to hunt you and that should be the very same reason why he should fear and leave you the fark alone! Show him, or don't. As I said, the best peaceful way of doing it is the law, but that also takes the fun out of every thing.

My apologies if I sound grim or rude. No Scaryfrightened, I knwo it seems like I am calling you a coward but I am not. This is your situation from what you told us and that is how I would handle it, and I am only telling you because I have been in this situation plenty of times and never once have I ever come close to being killed, no, not all the lions were cowards, no not all the lions were stupid, and yes some innocent lions did get what they asked for when they tried to fark with me. Lions as in humans, my species is a entirely different matter, one that should be discussed in private.

By all means run if you have to, but remember that will give you away to others as well. So running is ok, but as a last resort. A direct confrontation can provoke and can also give you away in front of others, so I would think about things a bit before trying this.
If I was in your situation I would probably try an indirect confrontation. This involves playing dumb a bit but should work without spilling too much blood. That would be approaching a few of his friends that you know and saying something like "I'm really worried about x, I am getting the feeling that he thinks I am a vampire or something crazy like that. I didn't think anyone believed in vampires these days, do you? I've seen a bit of Buffy on tv, but that's about it. I hope x is alright."
I don't think giving this a go can hurt too much, and should humiliate him in front of his friends enough that he will keep a wide berth of you from now on.

I concur Vivid, thats usually used in a sense of war instead a one on one but I like your style. technique may even grant you information that will suprise you.
