Burn... All of you.

Despite the title, this isn't about venting of any sort, and venting here will only be tolerated lightly. I will understand if some slips out but if a massive amount slips out then you will be placing a  ban me from this thread sticker on your head. I repeat this is not a venting thread.

Instead, I am wondering how my people of this territory deal with their anger and their enviroment. How do you stay sane with your crazy family. How do you put up with the thief next door to you. How do you deal with the poo the life monkey throws at you? Oh and I don't know, or I have no way, or I barely can stand them, is not a answer and you shouldn't be on the thread, a way you actually get through it.

I personally get through it by purposeful flirting, manipulation, teasing a dude or dude'et into thinking they are actually gonna score with me, buring things, freezing things, playing cards, speaking with the pretty lady on the phone, making art from art, laughing, making others laugh, ranting, poetry, martial arts, and of course monsterious.

I haven't been able to play cards for some time now, a little anger is building.

I deal with my anger in many ways, depending on how mad I am.

I can be very violent when I'm angry, and I have somehow programmed myself to shut down and cry instead of hurting the people around me.  If I have an iPod on me, I listen and get lost in the music until I calm down.  Charlie tends to calm me down if he is around, but if I am alone I throw things and curl up into a ball on my bed with my music on the highest setting on either my stereo or iPod.  I shift when I'm angry and, as they say, music soothes the savage beast.  You wouldn't know it by looking at me, but I can be pretty savage.

I also draw sometimes if I need, or write some really mean rant somewhere over and over until I calm down.  I don't always show people these rants because by the time I am done I feel better and don't have a need to show anyone the rant.

That's about it.

Oooh, thats right, music. I also tend to listen to music as well, depending on how angry I am depends on what type of music I listen to. Some times its depressing music and etc.

I just shut down, cram it all down in some dark recess of my mind. Only problem is that i festers, & rots, & ferments, until it explodes all over the place. It happened earlier today. I can handle just about everything, but when they ban me from talking to my real family, here on Monstrous, you know I am gonna start beating someone.

Yeah, beating the crap out of some one suprisngly doesn't really help. Studies have shown that doing violent activity keeps the anger active, I was thoroughly suprised, I know what thing, it definately makes me feel better, I guess in a way it makes you enjoy your anger. I do enjoy my anger often times. Any others who have any thing to say on anger?

I don't like it, it makes me crash. I can get just as violent as the next person, but after the anger leaves, all the other stuff comes up, too. I always end up crying somewhere.

I normally deal with my anger by locking myself in a room alone, grabbing a guitar, and playing for hours.  It keeps me focused on something I love to do instead of who I want to kick in the teeth.

So post what you do instead, or better yet ask for any suggestions, if you choose to ask for suggestions, give us some thing to base things off of. Oh and every one gets time alone, that is if they want it enough.

Try locking yourself in the bathroom and taking an extra long shower.

That's another of my anger methods.  Shower.  Especially in the rain if I'm lucky enough to get that chance...

Sorry, I was choking on my spit... grin

Actually, I do that, but if I'm angry I avoid mirrors.  I don't want to break any...

Ohhh, I do that every time  take a shower.  seem to have ritualized the shower process cuz it's the only time I can be truly alone. I take at least 30-45 minutes in the bathroom every time I take a shower. Lol, but no in the actual shower, don't want to run up the water bill. jester
