Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937) is widely considered the most important literary supernaturalist of the twentieth century.
He is one of the greatest in a line of authors that originated with
the Gothic novelists of the eighteenth century and was perpetuated
throughout the nineteenth century by such figures as Edgar Allan Poe,
Ambrose Bierce, J. Sheridan LeFanu, and Arthur Machen. [link] |
