You guys have limited...Godzilla monster information. Gigan's blades malfunctioned due to direct actions of of Mothra. If somebody does that, its not retarded as you put it...just bad luck. Its the same when any other computer fails or crashes because somebody spills something on the keyboard or machine. Gigan is a Cyborg, all those times he appeared, he was controlled by somebody else. We have never actually seen him fight on his own free will, just used as a weapon, much like King Ghidorah has been used nearly every time by an outside force. KG has never wanted to take over the world, if anything could be said about him, he would only wish to destroy it completely. My theory is that he is a destroyer of worlds, much like Galactus is in the Marvel universe is. I think that he eats their energies to live.
