Hello everybody,

My name is Elliott, I'm 17, male, gay and from the UK.

I'm a devout Christian, first and foremost, however over the last year or so I have been practising certain paranormal/spiritual activities and forms of witchcraft. Such as spell casting, flame controlling, astral projection and divination, all of which I am aware are big no no’s in the Christian faith. However I’ve always felt like this is something that is somewhat of a calling on my life and I don’t want to be 60 years old and regretting never trying anything in life. Me and my cousin, who moved down last year, are in a similar place.

I’m a Leo, I have empathetic gifting ... which sucks :/ lol. I practise a lot of Bay laurel divination which seems to be so far very effective. I’ve occasionally out of church context had prophetic messages and ‘visions’ you could say. I believe in vampires, or entities like vampires (they’re my favourite). I believe in lycanthropy, I believe in angels and the demonic. I believe in evil spirits and ghosts. I’m open to the suggestion of most things and don’t give definite answers to anything until I’ve looked into them lol.

My favourite book is, you guessed it, the Bible, my favourite color, although really it’s just the absence of colour, is Black.  I’m studying A-levels at sixth form college and I’m an A grade student in Art, Drama, and Sociology. I enjoy make-up artistry, reading, writing, acting, singing, dancing and the occult. I think there’s more I could go on about but I won’t for now unless you ask Tongue
So yeah ... hey

Hi Eliiot, well from what you have written so far i think you should start questioning the label of 'devout catholic'.

I dont think your priest would say your behaviour is 'devout'.

Well I'm not catholic ... which is helpful lol but I am devout, I'm a believer, I attend church and group meetings, I tithe, do community work, partake in the gifts of the Spirit. Not because I have to be a good Christian and so that God will love me but because I enjoy it, because I'm devout.

And inevitably as far as Christian theology is concerned I shouldn't worry about what any man thinks, vicar, priest or otherwise. That doesn't mean I should aim to offend Tongue but I should only really care about what God thinks and fortunately for me I'm in a covenant of Grace and Mercy not works or good deeds. I'm very blessed to say that Christianity is one of the only religions which isn't a rewards scheme to get into heaven. Even with the witchcraft I've practised, sacrifice of something has had to be involved, (botanicals, and time) in Christianity the sacrifice was made for you.

I think I may enjoy your stay here Emp.  It has been long and long since a true Christian has crossed my path, and though we will eventually butt heads, I believe it will be only in a theological sense, and not on a personal level.  I pray you will enjoy our future conversations as much as I, and welcome to Monstrous.

P.S.  You are off to a great start here in this community.  You have declared openly who you are and what you are about, even though some in today’s society might have immediately attacked you for it, you can rest assured that none here will do so.  Continue to be forthright and truthful and you will find friends here.  Be prepared to debate certain issues however, Debate is after all the bread and butter of our community.

Thank you very much, it's really comforting to here that from someone. I’m loving the forum already and I agree debates are only debates, even though I do love arguing Tongue (just ask my family)! I have in the past gotten quite hot headed in them but please never take it seriously. I don’t judge people based on what they believe spiritually or as a general rule unless it is quite obviously hypocritical or dictatory. Hypocrties *shivers* I know the best of us sometimes do it but consistent hypocrites *shivers*. I’m open to all questions people have, and although I won’t always no the answer straight away I will strive to give people one. I’m probably babbling now lol so will force myself to stop.  doh!
